The product range available through the new website represents the widest range of radon testing equipment available in the UK, with everything from low cost passive monitors for home radon testing to sophisticated continuous monitoring equipment available.
Alongside the Canary Digital Radon monitor, which is popular with homeowners wanting to monitor radon concentrations on an ongoing basis without having to return monitors to a laboratory for analysis, is the newly available Canary Pro. This digital monitor comes complete with a bespoke software package allowing the user to upload data from the monitor and produce a wide range of charts detailing fluctuations in radon concentrations over various periods.
Available for the first time from a UK company is the RadStar RS800i continuous radon monitor. This top-of-the-range electronic monitor from US firm AccuStar also monitors temperature and relative humidity and is the equipment of choice for many radon professionals.
In addition to radon test kits, a range of radon mitigation products is also now available. The equipment, which has been sourced from global leaders in the field RadonAway, is available to radon professionals and trade customers only. The range includes radon fans, accessories to monitor performance of a mitigation system and diagnostic equipment for use during system design and will be formally launched later this spring.
The new website, www.radonshop.co.uk has been designed primarily to make it easier for members of the public to access radon testing products. It is hoped that this will encourage more people to test their homes for radon when they see how easy and affordable it can be.
