When UK radon specialists, propertECO, attended a recent European conference in Belgium, the ‘Reduce Radon’ T-shirt was used to help further spread the message about radon.
The conference was part of the ROOMS programme (Radon Outcomes on Mitigation Solutions), which is held annually to enable experts from around Europe to exchange information and experiences on all things radon-related.
This year’s conference was held in the medieval town of Bouillon in the Ardennes, a known radon affected area.
Particular themes throughout the conference were how to increase radon awareness and the relative performance of various mitigation techniques.
The conference was coordinated by Belgium’s Federal Agency for Nuclear Control and attended by representatives from more than ten countries.
